1. Domvs Romana, Rabat, Malta

Domvs Romana was founded in 1882. The museum is based in an ancient aristocratic roman town house dating back to the last half of the 2nd century B.C. Nowadays, the townhouse has been restored and expanded in order to suit visitors. This museum is perfect if you’re looking to grab an insight of various aspects of Roman life such as fashion, education, entertainment, food and drink.

2. Folklore Museum, Cittadella, Gozo

Located in the Citadel’s quiet street is the Folklore Museum, hosted in a building dating back to the 1500s. This beautiful architecture features exhibits relating to rural trades and skills such as agriculture and fishing. Make sure to visit this beautiful nook to get a true demonstration of the Gozitan life back in the day.

3. Mnajdra and Ħagar Qim temples, Qrend, Malta 

Qrendi features two beautiful, must-see temples, the Mnajdra and Ħagar Qim. These beautiful structures are Neolithic temples hosting natural, beautiful, composites. If you intend to visit these two temples in one day make sure you buy a joint ticket for the Ħagar Qim park from Heritage Malta for an unmissable offer.

4. National War Museum, Fort St Elmo, Valletta, Malta

Malta is known for the courage it showed during WWII. The cross featured on the Maltese flag was in fact awarded to Malta, by King George VI, for this very reason. Visit Fort St Elmo to discover the features of the National War Museum and explore the methods employed by the Maltese during the wars they fought.

5. Palace Armoury, Grandmaster's Palace, Valletta, Malta

The Palace Armoury, located in the Grandmaster's Palace, exhibits arms and armour employed by The Knight of St John between 1530 -1798. This museum is a definite must visit for all of you who have a knack for these kind of things. Make sure to visit the rest of the Palace during your visit!
